Taste caught me off guard. Every kava I’d tried before was gritty and tasted like pond water. This is lemon-forward with vanilla underneath and a little ginger and cardamom on the back end. Reads more like a citrus liqueur than a supplement. Lips go slightly numb for the first minute, which is just kava doing its thing, then it fades.
Ingredient panel holds up too. Noble kava root at 500mg per serving, 30% kavalactones, so 150mg of actual kavalactones. Zero added sugar and 4g total, all from the grape and lemon juice. Rowanberry as the preservative instead of something synthetic. Not a lot of drinks in this category can say that.
